Open Windows Live Mail by clicking the Start button
. In the search box, type Mail, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Live Mail.

In the lower-left corner, select Contacts.

Click Export on the ribbon.

Select a file format in the drop-down menu.

If exporting multiple contacts, select .csv.

If exporting only one or two contacts, select .vcf.

Click Browse and select where to save your contacts.

Enter a file name and then click Save.

Click Next, and then select the check boxes next to the fields that you want to export. Only selected fields are exported, so make sure to select everything you might want later.

Click Finish.

Identify & Locate Your Windows Live Mail Store Folder
To identify the folder where Windows Live Mail stores all EML files follow the below steps:

Open Windows Live Mail, Select Tools | Options from Windows Live Mail toolbar. This will display following Options box:

From the Options box go to the Advanced Tab then click the Maintenance button as shown below:
- From the Maintenance box, Click the Store Folder button as shown below:
- Now this will display the following box having store folder location as shown below:
Organize e‑mail using rules and folders in Windows Live Mail
You can use rules in Windows Mail to automatically move
messages to the folders that you choose. For example, you might create a
rule to move mail from a specific person to a folder that you named for
that person. You can also use rules to flag specific messages that you
want to take action on later, or to delete unwanted messages
automatically so that you never have to see them.
To create a rule

Open Windows Mail by clicking the Start button
, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Mail.

Click the Tools menu, point to Message Rules, and then click Mail.

In the New Mail Rule dialog box, under Select the Conditions for your rule, select one or more check boxes to set up the criteria that will be applied to incoming messages.If you select multiple conditions, click the and hyperlink in the Rule Description section. In the And/Or dialog box, click Messages match all of the criteria or Messages match any of the criteria, and then click OK.

Under Select the Actions for your rule, select one or more check boxes to determine how to handle messages that meet the conditions you selected.

Click the underlined hyperlinks in the Rule Description section to specify the conditions or actions for your rule.
